|
|
I have a new theory about Peter's power. I think that he absorbs the power of the mutants he touches. He only flew after touching his brother. And he draws the future when he's in the hospital after touching the artist who sees the future. So I don't think there are two flying brothers anymore.
This opens up so many possibilities. If he can take on the power of the others for short periods of time, that means he could also be invincible, control the space/time continuum, etc. That would make him much more interesting and much more valuable to the team.

Yes I am! Oh and I got the names of the brothers confused; it's Peter who has the Rogue like ability and Nathan who is the jerk who can fly.
I really disliked the third XMen movie because they butchered so much of the mythology but I loved the comics and especially the animated XMen: Evolution. |

That's a good theory BA. But you know, if he does have that ability to absorb other people's powers he could be far more valuable then anyone else. That african american character who seems to be super powered, and Sylar (Not sure who he is yet). He could absorb their powers and be a trump card to the "Heroes." Aaaaah so many questions!!
Side note: I think they butchered the X-Men movies too. Down with the movies! |

I think he will end up being the most important of the heroes. Peter can have all their powers at once. That black guy in the bar seems to be like Leech from XMen in that he can dampen other superpowers in the heroes. So he could be really really dangerous.
Side note: I liked the first two but the third XMen movie butchered the character mythologies so much, I will never ever watch it again and have tried to block the memory from my mind. |

I liked the movies, not as much as the original show, though.
There's a few more Heroes who are connected to X-Men:
Peter = Rogue
Creepy Bald Guy = Leech
D.L. = Shadowcat/Kitty, whatever her name was.
Niki/ikiN = In a way, is like Jean/Phoenix. Split personalities, one good, one bad.
Nathan = Angel/Warren
Matt = Jean and Prof. Xavier, with his mind reading.
Hiro = Xavier? He could kinda stop time, too, like when they spoke to the President at the end of X2.
Claire = Wolverine [The healing part, not the claws, and metal-ness.]
Lots in common. Hmm.... |

Welcome to our little forum, losted. I think your comparisons are very apt. And there is a rumour that even Mohinder might get powers at some point.
Oh and I liked the first two movies but hated, absolutely hated, the third. Have you seen XMen: Evolution? A great series. |

Actually, not to nitpick, but I think what Prof. X actually did was sort of a psychic pause-button kind of thing on the people in the Oval Office in that scene, like he did in the beginning of the movie at the museum when Pyro & Iceman were about to get into a fight with the two asshole kids. That's why he could affect whoever he wanted, as opposed to everyone. |

Lol, that seems to make more sense, him affecting their minds, as opposed to stopping time.
...Seeings as his power is the whole "mind thing..."
And I think I have seen X-Men Evolution before.... not sure... |
