Last night's episode was a little disappointing. Although I loved learning more about Sawyer, it didn't progress the story very much. And it was kind of depressing seeing Sawyer give in so easily. And of course, no real answer to whether or not Kate love Sawyer.
The thing with Desmond was very cool though and brings up all sorts of questions. Obviously, he's seeing the future now. He knew that Clair would get soaked when he put up his "device." But can he change anything that he sees or is it set, unchangeable, destined.... Even though he told her he wanted to fix her roof, she wouldn't let him and so what he saw came true.
Yet, when he talked last week about knowing about Locke's speech, he must have changed the future in a very subtle way. When he saw the speech, he must have been in the crowd listening to it, or how would he have hurt what Locke said...yet when he gave the speech, Desmond was down on the beach, alone. Damn time paradoxes..... |

No, I don't think it was that she would get wet. Remember the lightning bolt that hit the gold club? I think if he hadn't had set that up Claire would have gotten hurt, or her baby. I don't think he really wanted to fix her roof, I think he wanted her to be away so she didn't get hurt.
In the end, he did change what he saw by setting up his device. |

You can usually find copies of episodes on youtube, google video, etc.
Also, I think I remember hearing that they would make the episode available on their site a day after the episode airs....then there is always the itunes store which allows you to buy them for only 2 bucks. |
