Hi, everyone; this is my first post. (Maybe I should've introduced myself first but, oh well. I'm lazy.)
I guess we all know who Syler is now (duh), and for me, it was pretty disappointing to find out that Syler is someone fairly pathetic. I guess he is not a cold blooded murderer or anything (and pretty sweet, I might add, yet creepy), but something about Syler caught my attention.
When he was in the hospital with his wife and the cops dared to shoot at him, he said something similar to "I might explode if you should me. I don't know." Upon hearing this line, I thought, "okay.....is HE the bomb that they are talking about??? I missed the second episode, so I don't know what Hiro saw or did when he transported himself to NY. All I know is that, from the picture that Issac drew (by the way, is he kidnapped?), NY is going to blow up in the future. Someone fill me in, please!
And the kid's power was pretty cool. Mommy had a secret; daddy had a secret, so I guess the kid had to have a secret. I guess I could call him next time my mainboard deciede to blow up on me (haha). I don't know what else he could do with his power. Maybe shoot electricity out of his hands? Well, I guess we will find out later.
Last note: finally we come to the cheerleader!!
I am looking forward to the next episode of Heroes. |

Welcome to our forum. It's good to meet you.
In the second episode, Hiro teleports himself to New York, 5 weeks in the future. He doesn't know he's in the future though until he's arrested for Isaac's murder and finds out it's Nov. 8th (big election day in the U.S.) He teleports out just before the bomb goes off.
And that radioactive man (Up and at them!) is not Sylar. He is another altered person....in the original pilot, he was supposed to be involved in a terrorist plot and it was going to be revealed that he killed his wife accidentally with his "power." It may be that Sylar does kill that guy and that's what causes the explosion.
Sylar is someone much more dangerous and I don't think they have even cast him yet. He is collecting the brains of other heroes...we don't know why yet but most believe he is stealing their powers.
(Oh and I think you can still see ep 2 on YouTube) |

Tsk tsk BA. Never say what the bad guy's doing until we know. Well okay that's not true, theories rock. But we don't know for sure that Sylar want's the Heroes brains. Maybe he's just taking potential Heroes brains. If he really were after the Heroes brains, why wouldn't one of our loving cast have been targeted yet? The most we've seen targetted is when Sylar (Maybe) tries to take the little girl.
But BA is right, the fire dude is not Sylar. He's just some random dude that might show up. In the "next time on Heroes" thing it didn't say two Heroes, it said one and showed Micah. So he may have been there just to progress the story. But yeah, when he said the atomic bomb thing I was like "C'mon, don't antagonize us!" |

I didn't give anything away Zro. And don't you remember when Hiro went into the future. And found Isaac dead with his brain gone. So, Sylar is trying to get our heroes brains. In fact, "Save the cheerleader, save the world," is because if he gets Claire's invulnerability, he will be completely unstoppable. |

Okay, so the fire dude is not Syler. I thought because his name came up that he may be; but I am glad! I am happy that our villain did not turn out to be total loser. Anyways, on the 7th episode (I believe), when I saw the waitress opening the can of tomato sour (it was tomato soup, wasn't it?), it totally reminded me of Syler; and there he was!
I thought it was a nice touch with the can opener and her head opening up. (I like gory stuff.) |

I don't know, BA. I think it may be more complex than that. Sylar has already exhibited at least partial invulnerability. Remember that Parkman shot him and he got right back up again and practically vanished into thin air. It's just a wild stab theory, but I think Sylar may have super speed in addition to the flesh freezing, fully independent telekinesis, and invulnerability. |
