Not much going on apart from me, Striding Cloud occasionally. Reiakesh even more occasionally and the Spambots Smile
I see a former Wrexham 'boy' has moved up in the Premier League coaching stakes.

Ah good old Sparky, I was chuffed to bits when I found out he took over the city job. He'll do wonders there with money! Shame we cant have the money or manager at his hometown club. In fact he'd probably score a few goals for us if he played even now Very Happy

How you been anyway mallory? Everything alright?

Everything's pretty good. Planning a trip to France and Italy later in the year.
Are you watching Euro 2008. I've remembered to set the DVD for tonight's highlights package - I'm not so keen that I'll get up at 4.00 in the morning!
What are you doing this year B.?

Oh yes! Who you supporting? With no home nation involved I'm hoping Netherlands can do it, been a huge lover of dutch international football for as long as I can remember and they were simply sublime against Italy.

I'm not doing a lot at the moment, just finished my first year in Bangor university studying computer science and Im off for the summer until late September now! Too much time off lol, need a job and money due to the huge debt Im now in Shocked

I'm supporting Sweden but not sure if they'll get through to the next round after the loss to Spain. Pity they conceded that late goal. Have a soft spot for the Netherlands also though.

Can you get a summer job to help at all? How did you find your first year?

It was a shame they conceded that late goal, but they were thoroughly beaten by the Russians! I was quite surprised about that actually and wanted Sweden to do well because of Olof Mellberg. Shame Sad I just really hope that Italy get beaten by Spain, I hate the Italian style of football and really wish that someone would put them in their place this time round! They were soooo lucky in the world cup.

First year was great! The course is good and the place is awesome. Bangor is a beautiful little city and, most importantly, the alcohol is cheap too Very Happy

Im looking for a temporary summer job but not having much luck. I think there are a lot of people coming back to Wrexham in the same situation Sad

Looks like it is time for the Swedes to blood some younger players Sad .I taped the highlights but forgot to turn on the set-top box so I missed it. Just as well. Going for the Netherlands now. trying to stay unspoiled till I can watch the highlights v Russian tonight!

Good luck with finding some casual work. At times like these it probably pays to milk your contacts....

Are you living in at Bangor? I think I remember Bangor as being a cliched holiday destination from many lplays and novels!

Cant believe the dutch lost :O was really gutted, but to be fair to Russia they fully deserve their place in the semi finals! I'm very glad Spain made it through too, not many people would have predicted this final four tbh, especially Turkey and Russia (who have both impressed me after their first group games).

Haha, wish I had contacts to get a job to be honest, I'm useless with this kind of thing ^^;

I'm living in Bangor during term time, which is late September till late May/early June, the rest of the time I'm at home in Wrexham. I also come home for holidays (reading weeks, christmas, easter etc) and I come back for a few Wrexham games when I can afford it. It's really easy to get back on the train so if I ever feel like coming home, it's not a big deal tbh.

Bangor is very scenic, surrounded by hills (in fact the city is split into two parts due to the hills), and it's right on the coast due to the Menai Straits that split it from Anglessey. It's a beautiful place and during the summer there are a lot of holiday makers around (to replace the students lol), but it's not like a typical seaside town because their main income is from the students rather than tourists so it doesn't become all cliched and typically British.

my bad Embarassed I was thinking of Bognor Shocked

Have you got a resumé Bill? That's your first step. You can dress nicely and go door to door asking if there are any casual jobs going and if you can leave your details. Otherwise ask around of friends and family.

Isn't that in Scotland? lol, atleast you didn't get it mixed up for somewhere in England because I would have to get all patriotic Laughing

Yeah I do have one, but been kind of busy doing stuff for my mum and dad last few days so not been able to go round town and ask for jobs. With the way the British economy is going its going to be very hard for me to find one Sad

Hey StridingCloud! Glad to see someone else about lol. I'm good thanks, yourself? Take it you've been watching Wimbledon? Im not a big tennis fan but with the football finishing soon (come on Spain!), might have to start watching some other sport to get my fix.
