| The fact that CBG can take peoples powers kinda makes me think of Sylar having so many powers. Maybe they're the same person, or CBG can pass those powers on to other people? Any thoughts? |

| If you're referring to the black guy who travels with HRG (Horn Rim Glasses), he doesn't appear to use their powers. He only seems to have a passive superpower to prevent others from fully using theirs. He prevented Parkman from fully reading HRG's mind in the lab and his own mind in the bar. However, the fact that Nathan Petrelli was able to fly in CBG's presence and Parkman still managed to extract Claire's name from HRG's mind indicates that this may be a secondary and not very powerful ability; his primary ability (which secures his usefulness to HRG) is his ability to erase part or nearly all of a person's memory. |

Why is he being called CBG? Oh, I think I understand. And bar is right; his main ability is to steal people's memories. I don't think he can supress the powers of others as he didn't stop Nathan from flying away; when Matt tried to read his mind, I think he stopped him but that may be an ability anyone of us could develop.
And if you look at the Sylar we saw, he is a caucasian male, in his 40's I'd guess. |

Ah. Didn't know that Sylar was caucasian.
I actually didn't get to see that episode...
Down with that theory! |

| Sylar appeared again in earnest in "Seven Minutes to Midnight". They seem to be doing a great deal to prevent us from figuring out who he is and what he looks like. |

I honestly think that seeing as how Sylar has a combination of powers, and Peter is able to absorb people's powers, there is a chance that in the future, Peter becomes Sylar. Maybe he realizes that, in the future, the cheerleader will provide him with the power of self-regeneration, and with that power, he will then become indestructible, so he travels back in time. This may also be the reason for Hiro going back to warn Peter, for if he is able to stop Peter from reaching the point where he is fully in control of his powers and using them in a negative way, he may be able to prevent certain horrible events from occuring in the future.
However, there is that discrepancy with the phone call from Sylar to Suresh...
I just realized that since Hiro traveled back in time, Sylar has not killed him and gained his power permanently. But perhaps Sylar had absorbed his power in the future, traveling back in the past, but now remains trapped in the past because he does not possess the power of time travel?
These are just theories being fabricated in my mind at this very moment, but please reply if you've got anything to add. |
