I think that the idea of Sylar's power is very very cool. He can see how people, things, go together and how and what is broken. If he used his powers for good, he could see what's wrong with anyone feeling sick and help identify cancers and other diseases early.

My only problem is this: he's not a surgeon. So how does he take that power and "fix" it and take it for himself? He says he can see "how the parts should go." But how, in physical reality, does he do this? Since the show is about people dealing with superhuman abilities in our world, in reality, I want to know how he extracts the "broken parts" and how he puts them into his own brain. However, I do have faith that they know how to establish this and that they will in upcoming episodes.

I wonder if Sylar will be the main villain just for this season or will he be part of a larger arc?

They explain his powers after episode 10, I think, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen past that episode. Considering he took up a life of fixing watches, it wouldn't be too much out of the realm of believability that he could fix things that require a lot of attention to detail and a steady hand.

Yah, it would definetly be cool to know how everything works. You'd be able to fix every problem that's a one or 2 person job. Like my xmod for example, i want it to go fast but it's not going as fast as i want it to go. But with my super power i'd be able to fix it and make it go 100mph and anything wrong with my future truck I'd fix it without going to a stupid mechanic. And also the helping pple thing arach talked about.

Then you'd have Sylar's power AND Micah's power.

Of course, Micah seems to have the ability to fix machines WITHOUT knowing what's wrong with them. I mean, he didn't open up the phone in the phone booth; he just touched it and it worked. That's pretty damn cool in my book.

Just something about xmods.. You can get an electric motor designed for other applications. They can be purchased online and apparently can go as fast as 100mph(?) Try ebay and do a little research. I haven't looked into these things for a while, so I'm not sure about it anymore. I'd imagine these suckers wouldn't last very long.
