Is it just me or does the fact that Niki and D.L. met and both now have the gene which has given them superhuman powers seem like too much of a coincidence? I think it's pretty likely that Micah will also have the gene and will probably be very powerful. I just hate when stories give us coincidences like this without any explanation.
Any theories? |

well, Micah seems to know more than his mom seems to think (like when he told her that "it was okay" what she did in the garage...about the videos, not the killings). |

well, Micah seems to know more than his mom seems to think (like when he told her that "it was okay" what she did in the garage...about the videos, not the killings). |
Micah definitely knows about D.L.'s special abilities. And I think he also suspects that there's more to him mom than he knows. I just hope they somehow explain how Niki and D.L. met so I don't end up feeling manipulated. |

Be patient! It's only the first season. As for Micah, remember when he told Niki that the police would never find DL? I think he knew something about DL having powers, even if DL didn't know about it. He might know about Niki's powers and might not. The question is, if Micah ends up with powers, what are they going to be like?

| It could be that the group that HRG (Claire's father) works for has been watching them and may have had something to do with them meeting. On the other hand, the show has a strong theme of these people having destinies they are fulfilling so it might have been fate for them to meet. Maybe Micah can benefit even if Niki right now is more a force of evil than of good. |

I'm not all that sure Nikki had any abilities when they met - at least, not that she was aware of. DL probably always knew of his special abilities, but Nikki said somethiing happened to her when he was put in jail. That leads me to believe it happened later. Also, aside from being very strong when she is the "bad" Nikki, I don't see any special abilities yet. What she is suffering from is a Multiple Personality Disorder. She's nuts, not too special. But since she's pretty, I'm sure they'll find more special stuff for her to find within herself. 
Micah will be incredibly special and important in the future. We already know he's a child prodogy. They just haven't revealed anything in the way of physical abilities. Maybe he'll just be the brains behind them all!!! |

I don't want to spoil anything but last week we found out that Niki is the one who killed D.L.'s crew and stole the money. And she can rip human bodies in half so her super-power is super strength but of course, only evil Niki seems to have it.
I agree about Micah. They're setting it up so that he should be pretty interesting when his powers "surface." |

True - Nikki did obviously do those things. I just don't think she knew she did until the stress of being on her own brought the Alter Ego to the forefront. I don't think they were set up to get together tho. They actually appeared to love each other. But DL finding out Nikki betrayed him and then trying to kill him pushed him to take her out. However, we know she isn't dead, so he still loved her enough not to kill her. All that to say - my thought is it was a coincidence that they both had mutant genes and fell in love, but it was a good coincidence that produced Super-Micah!

Updates: Nikki's alter ego is named Jessica. Jessica does indeed have superhuman strength and, apparently, a penchant for gory violence.
Just to let you all know, the online comic book of all this on the main NBC site for the show has good backstory info on lots of the characters. I will continue to post here, as I love unofficial forums and such. But the online comic book has good backstory stuff. |

Do you think I should set up a section to discuss the online comic book? Would you be interested in running that section?
And when did Niki find out that her alter-ego is called Jessica? I know she inferred that they had talked but I think there was something missing...she should have told us that she had talked to Jessica and discovered she has a different name. Different name implies very very different personality. |

I'm flattered, but I don't think I'm the guy you want to run a section of your site. I am unreliable for most things except actually watching the show.  In addition, I don't have anywhere NEAR the technical skill needed to operate a forum.
I would be more than happy to contribute, however.
