Another character I'm not fond of: Matt and the interplay between him and his wife. He needs to grow a pair and leave the adultress behind, IMO. I am not sure how I feel about him teaming up with Hana and the radioactive guy, but I am interested to see how it plays out tonight.
I was so disappointed to see Peter turn ugly in the last scenes of last week's episode. I have been rooting for him from the beginning, but now I'm afraid he will turn to the "dark side," though, to be perfectly honest, I knew it had to happen to one hero eventually.
I missed the interaction between Nikki and Jessica last week. |

Hey I like Matt. He's like Xander from Buffy. Someone with the least amount of pressence and power but one who can excell because people tend to overlook them.
Though I do believe he needs to grow a pair and leave his wife. She's getting on my nerves with her goody goody act. It's not okay for him to keep the diamonds but it's okay for her to screw his boss. Is the Baby even Matts??     |

I have to agree with you about his wife. I dislike her too. I think that every scene with them is one that could be spent with a hero I like.
Of course, after "Company Man," Matt has become a lot more interesting. And if he's going to work with that person (don't want to spoil anything for anyone), he'll get even more interesting. |

This episode has to be my favourite out of all of them so far. Peter's my favourite character and seeing him totally kick butt was really cool.
I'm not too sad about Simone dying, I think she was just kind of an excuse to add a little love story into the whole Isaac, Peter, and Simone relationship. That stuff is corny.
Also, I'm wondering how Peter will react to her death. It'll probably be one of two extremes: severe hate and bitterness towards himself and Isaac and become angry and start training to become all powerful in some secluded location, or weep and wine and mope and stop training and grieve over Simone. Personally, I hope he starts training in some secluded location to become almighty lol.
Also, another thing, I posted a thread or a reply a while ago where I said that the heroes' powers could be either physical or mental (ie. super strength being physical and telekenesis being mental). Since Claire's mom got a whatever in her brain it made me think that maybe there are scientific explanations for every power, because how else would the Haitian be able to erase memory other than physically controlling something within her brain?
I watched a Superman documentry (lol) where people actually discussed how Superman's powers could be scientific. Scientists are "apparently" trying to master a theory about things called gravitrons. They are invisible, like radio waves or radiation, and basically control gravity or act as the thing that pushes us towards the earth. The scientists discussed that perhaps superman could control these gravitrons to make them push him up or foward and essentially fly by making his own gravity.
Maybe Nathan, Peter, and Sylar have evolved to control gravitrons to push objects and fly. Also, maybe Matt has evolved to be able to pick up electrical frequencies or the electrical waves from our brain and interpret that into words or the thoughts of others. Maybe the Haitian had developed a way to control brain waves or maybe even control the growth of cells within the brain by simply putting his hand on one's forhead. Besides, how else would everyone's powers be explained, I dont think the writers would just say "Ah well maybe they just are supernatural".
I wonder if all this evolution going on in Peter is going to mess him up and eventually overload his body which will make him become the "exploding man". I hope Peter controls his powers and New York blows up for a very good reason.
I dont know, it's just that until this episode we didnt have any proof that the Haitian's powers could be scientific. Or maybe Claire's mom got the brain thingy from Sylar smashing her into the glass. eh. i doubt it |

I definitely think there is a scientific explanation for the powers that our heroes have. And the Haitian definitely did something to Claire's mom's brain that was physical. Like he pulled out too much and damaged the actual brain material.
You so have to watch the next two episodes and then post in those threads. I'm so tempted to respond to more of your ideas but I know what's going to happen and don't want to spoil anything. |
