This was totally an OMG!!! episode. I think it might have been the best one yet. And every ten minutes, I was saying, OMG!!!! So many amazing revelations, so much character development, and is Matt a total dink or what!!!!
I love that we got to see our heroes with their powers fully developed, yet we still get to see them go through the journey to get there in the years to come. Yes, time travel can be a copout but with Hiro in our midst, we had to know it was coming.
What the hell happened to Peter that left a permanent scar? And I was so disappointed in Nathan...until the revelation that, of course, it wasn't Nathan. And what a huge surprise that Niki survived and Jessica didn't.
And, finally, "Save the cheerleader; save the world!" makes perfect sense. I was worried that the catchphrase had come up as just a catchphrase and wouldn't be properly explained but boy was I wrong and I am so happy to be wrong!!!
Gotta fly; more tomorrow. |

This episode was pretty ok though Matt was a total piss off. I rooted for him only to see him turn into a stupid piss ant I didn't like the development between Peter and Nikki. That totally grossed me out but powerful Peter with a scar was pretty darn sexy. This ep left me with a lot of questions. I'm so glad that this future can be changed because me no like the fact that DL and Micah are dead in the future. |

This was a great episode. I loved every second of it, and I think I was anticipating this episode just as much as I was .07%.
Matt was such a douche in this episode. I never really liked Matt as a character, to me he's not really static, more cardboard and just very flat. But this episode, I dunno, he had some decent points but nothing that made me like the character or stop disliking him.
Peter, oh my god what to say. Well, when I first saw a sneak peak of the new Peter I didn't get to see his scar and I have to say, that scar is awesome. It makes me wonder what gives him that scar though, since Claire's alive he does actually have her power and thus, is invulnerable (Pretty much). He's gained a lot of humanity and sees the world through the eyes of a normal person, not a dream (Although, he's been working up to this in the other episodes, specifically the last two). His relationship with Nikki doesn't seem to be a love or affection thing. I think the both of them are with each other just for the comfort and connection, having someone who understand what it's like to be always looking over your shoulder.
Nathan. To be honest I don't like Nathan that much, but I was so relieved when it turned out that it was Sylar and not Nathan. I mean, he's not a bad guy and genocide just was waaaay to evil for him. Besides, I really don't think the real Nathan would make the world aware of Heroes.
Hiro. He was really cool, very dark and gritty and surely not the Hiro we all know and love. I'm glad that it's explained why he's so dark, and it was touching that it was because of Ando's death. (Note: Did you see Peter's face and hear his voice when he mentioned Hiro's cheerfullness going away? He sounded hurt, so the two of them might be close friends?) But he's still a hero, he's trying to change the way the world is and it may just be for Ando but I think he's looking at the big picture to. I don't know how OUR Hiro is going to deal with having to kill Sylar though. To be honest, I think if he were to confront him now he'd loose, his powers are too unstable.
I think that about covers the characters I liked and disliked. I know I missed a bunch, but I don't really like those characters as much as these ones (Except Matt, I had to make a douche post for the Cardboard Soldier)
Anyway, I can't wait to see what's to come. We have like, 3 episodes left. I can't wait to see what happens and what will happen after this season. I'm really looking forward to seeing the characters develop their powers more, hopefully to the level they were able to in the future. Also, we didn't get to see the conclusion of the Sylar/Peter battle in the end. I hope that we're able to at least SEE some more Sylar vs. Peter before the season is out. And I make this statement here as to who EVENTUALLY kills Sylar (In my opinion):
Peter. He's the most logical candidate. He can do everything and more then Sylar can. He is Sylar's kryptonite if you will. Heh, end post here |

Very astute comments, Zro. I agree with everything you said. Especially what you said about Niki and Peter's relationship, about Matt (totaly dick) and about Nathan (my favourite).
However, I really hope that Sylar isn't killed, just stopped. I know a lot of you hate him and all but think about it: who else can rival Peter? Who can possibly hope to be as powerful a villain as Sylar?
If you watch Star Trek: Next Gen - think of the Borg. They were the greatest villain and after First Contact, they couldn't find a villain to rival them. In fact, the borg became the main villain in Voyager.
And as we saw, Peter is going to be very very powerful in the future. What villain besides Sylar can even hope to match him? He is invincible, has all the coolest superpowers and will just become more and more powerful as time goes on. Right now, Sylar does have an edge in that he is ruthless and has no regard for anyone's safety. |

Thanks for the compliment BA ^^
What I meant though, is that eventually Sylar will have to be killed. I highly doubt he'll die in season 1, and if he does then I'm sure they'll find a way to bring the bastard back.
I just meant that when the show is on it's final season if Sylar is still the main villain I think that Peter will be the one to kill him. |

I agree; it should be a long battle royal between them. Full on powers, no worries about any bystanders, kill or be killed. So far, their battles have been short and somewhat less than satisfying. I have no doubt that the battle we didn't get to see while Hiro was trying to teleport back to the present was pretty nasty. I WANT TO SEE IT!!! (oh and long live Sylar) |

I totally agree. Their final battle will be a historical one.
Like...
Buffy and The First
Link and Ganon
Harry and Voldemort
I hope it happens somewhere secluded, because if they do it in a populated area Sylar might win. He doesn't have any care for human life, while Peter does.
And I also hope that maybe eventually we'll be able to see what happened beyond the door. Because the battle between the two of them seemed to be the only thing pushing the door open, I think that whatever they did they vaped EVERYONE in that hallway. |

| The final fight between Peter and Sylar would be awesome but I have one huge question that this episode did not address. This episode mostly focuses on Hiro searching for a point to go back in time to Stop Sylar but Sylar is not the cause of the explosion, Peter is. Is no one ever going to realize that or believe Peter or is Sylar really the cause of the explosion??? |

No it was Peter. But it makes the point that people believe whatever you tell them. Even Hiro believes that Sylar was the cause, when he's on semi-good terms with Peter. Even Nikki didn't know until he told her. |
