Landslide
First aired: 5/14/2007
Angela Petrelli is forced to play a bigger role in Nathan, Peter, and Claire's life. The truth about the death of Nathan and Peter's father is finally revealed along with his true identity. When Nathan finds out that he may have a chance to become more than a Congressman, he is confronted with a decision that he must make. As election day nears some try to leave NYC. HRG and Matt learn another surprising secret. Also, Sylar is eating another hero's brain. Hiro's dad returns.

Will Sylar actually eat a brain? I can't wait to find out. I hope it's something more elegant than that though.

I missed a few little bits and pieces because my TV was messed up, but I didn't see Sylar eating a brain.
I also missed the truth about the death of Nathan and Peter's father.
Can anyone fill me in on these things?

Proverbial tears shed over the season pre-finale:
DL and Ted are dead (Man, oh man, do I hates that Sylar).
Bennet and Suresh are in a stand-off over Molly and someone is likely to die, unless Bennet finds out that Linderman and Thompson are dead.
Geez, Nathan is starting to piss me off. Is it just me, or does he seem to get greedier, shallower, and more gullible every week?

Proverbial cheers said over the season pre-finale:
Linderman and Thompson are dead. Yay! I was beginning to think that none of the bad guys would ever buy it this season! Oh, and was Bennet a bad-ass or what? "Your last thought! *BANG BANG BANG*" I hate real-life violence, but am very much into entertainment violence, and IMHO, that was a moment truly worthy of any of Schwarzenegger's baddest characters.

Let's just hope Thompson doesn't have any powers with which to save himself.

And how friggin' crazy creepy was DL's move on Linderman? Similar to what he did to Jessica earlier in the season, except it was IN HIS GREASY HEAD Y'ALL!!

Something interesting from this ep: Candice might be a deeper person than we have been led to believe. It's starting to look like she may be hiding a physically ugly or deformed appearance with her power, and is bitter over having to hide from society's all-too well-trained and sickeningly judgmental eye. Sort of like Mystique, except of course that Mystique is hot even with the blue skin and scales. But I digress; Candice seems to think Linderman's plan will help everyone in the world, even people who, like apparently her, have suffered people's shallowness and cruelty.

Can't wait for the finale. Somehow, though, I just know it's going to be another cliffhanger.

No, we didn't see Sylar eat Ted's brain.

All we found out about the senior Petrelli is that he had a power and that he worked with Linderman but lost his faith in their mission. And that Linderman considered him a coward who gave up. He used it to further goad Nathan.

I think that Nathan has to be who he is or the series would lack a morally ambiguous character. He wants to be a good man and to do good but he isn't sure how to do that. His motives are all sound but he may buy into using questionable methods. And I love how he tortures me with not knowing which way he will side. In the end, I see him as a Spike character.

EW has an article in this week's issue which is great; in it, Kring says that in the finale, Nathan will have to make a decision which will affect all of their futures.

And that the arc WILL be resolved since they already have the two main arcs for next season defined and ready to go.

And DL's move on Linderman was creepy, visceral, and very satisfying. However, Linderman has the power to restore and heal; maybe he's not really dead.

Oh and I don't think DL is dead. He has the power to reach into his own body and remove the bullet.

I loved this episode and from what Kring said, we can expect more surprises and more hugeness in the finale!!
