So, I really enjoyed "Homecoming", despite the absence of Parkman and Radioactive Man (I can't help but giggle when I call him that). But I loved the showdown between Sylar and Peter, even though Peter high-tailed it. Of course, if I didn't know I was invincible, I might run too after getting a few flying locker doors flung telekinetically at me.

Now onto the real showdown: Eden and Creepy Bald Guy versus Sylar. I have to say, I was impressed with Eden and CBG. They pretty much took Sylar's homesick ass DOWN, and in one of the shortest superhero showdowns I've ever seen. I mean, it was the superhero equivalent of what we used to call a "two-hit fight" when I was a kid. (They hit him, then he hit the ground.)

Of course, when a character has the power of push (a borrowed term from "Firestarter" and "X-Files"), one could make the case that that person is pretty much unstoppable, save for three specific exceptions: you catch them unawares, they have a vulnerability, or their enemy has a specific power or device to enable them to resist psionic invasion.

That said, man they really made mincemeat out of Sylar.

Oh, and for a theory about the road ahead for HRG and the heroes -- he forced Isaac to paint another painting, which was of a man on fire. I think that's actually Radioactive Man, and that what's going to happen is one of the two following scenarios: Homeland Security is going to interrogate and "render" him to the point that he cannot take it anymore and he will go off like a nuke; or they will render him to the point that he is just about to go off and some idiot shoots him and THAT sets off the nuclear blast. Fallout Boy will be unable to save him. Wink Just a little joke there. But seriously, either way the consequences of HRG's magnifying his powers will be realized and the ill-considered nature of HRG's interferences will come to fruition.

Of course, other slightly remote possibilities are fun, too:
-HRG or someone around him has some agenda to destroy New York
-Sylar wants to destroy New York, possibly to get rid of HRG or someone like him.
-Someone shoots Radioactive Man because they discover the truth about the superhumans, and discover that many of them are in New York.

Okay, I really have to go now and do some homework. Theorizing is just TOO much fun.
