Buffy is not only a show I "like," it has been my obsession for so many years now I can't keep track. I used to co-run a forum called Escapefromdarkness, dedicated to all things Joss Whedon. I was the mother of a clan there and have role played Illyria (my favourite character from Angel), Buffy, Andrew, etc. I have Buffy pics up all over my classroom (I teach high school English) and I've taught the musical 4 times to grade 12's.
I wish I could post more but I do have to log off for today. I'll leave you with this: Spuffy is the only ship that mattered after Angel abandoned her when things got tough. What is more romantic than someone almost dying and suffering excruciating physical pain to get his soul back because he loves you.
I've also been reading tons of Spuffy fan fiction (and some Fresley) so if anyone wants recommendations, I've got some great fan fics I can direct you to.
Any other fans out there? I sure do hope so!! |

| Well I simply have to post here. As you invited me to the forum I simply thought I'd let you know. Yes, I am indeed a fan of Buffy/Angel. :p Of course you knew that. As for your Spuffy fanfic obsession, damn you use a LOT of paper. I could probablly use it as wallpaper to cover my room. Sure it'd be drab, white and covered with fine print but hey, who said wallpaper had to be cool? |

How else can I feed my obsession now that the shows are over. I can't wait until the first comics come out of season 8 Buffy which are being written by Joss.
Oh and did you get my pm? Let me know. |

Hello, everyone. I'm a Buffy/Angel fan as well. Though not, it seems, as big as the rest. However, I did and do (whenever I can) enjoy both series very much, with a noticeable list towards BTVS. And I'm so glad there will be a season 8 in comic book form, made by Joss. I will DEFINITELY be checking that out. They only hinted at the lives of the Scoobies after the end of BTVS when Andrew mentioned them to Spike and Angel on "Angel". I kept thinking things like "So, Xander's in Africa. . .AND?!?!?!"
Though I didn't really have a favorite character per se, Xander was probably the one with which I identified the most. I found it interesting how much Angel changed at the end of that series and ended up more in line with how Xander often seemed to think about his fight against evil.
It's where I got my signature line (the whole "meant to be fought" thing). That, to me, signifies true heroism: the willingness to fight injustice and evil regardless of the chances of success. In my opinion, Angel and Xander both exemplified that heroic virtue particularly well. |

I love that quote; it does exemplify what AtS was really all about. I'm going throught his whole Illyria phase again. I still can't believe that we'll never get to see her grow and change. She was supposed to be more like Clark Kent and change into Fred regularly. Also, she was supposed to become more like Fred, tapping into and integrating her memories. We all got screwed!! |

We did get screwed. I really hope that they do SOMETHING with the series cause the way it ended just pisses me off. They literally left the show itself on a cliffhanger. THAT'S NOT COOL. We got screwed, and not in the good way |

In a way, though, leaving it the way they did sort of fits with the "fight evil no matter what" concept. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to have seen more from AtS. However, given that Angel & co. decided that the important thing to concentrate on is fighting evil, in a way it makes sense that the last we of them is getting ready to fight some more. |

I'm a huge Spuffy fan as well. I was into Spuffy as soon as Spike first came into the scene. So you can direct my way any good Spuffy fic you find.
On a side note. I seriously miss BTVS. AtS not quiete as much but only because after the Cordy incident I pretty much loss interests in that show. Then Spike came back then the show ended.... |
