One of the things that struck me recently about Heroes is that the show is often about dichotomies. I think that a lot of the structure and the character development comes from this dichotomy.

For example, the two brothers who can fly. One brother, his life seen as a bit of a disappointment, not successful in the traditional sense, embraces his ability to fly and his destiny. The other brother, very successful monetarily and in his career, rejects his newfound ability (maybe he even knew before he could fly), his destiny, in the pursuit of power and wealth. Are we going to be seeing these brothers, at some point, coming into direct conflict with each other. Will the brother who seeks power have the other committed so that he can claim that everything he says about his ability stems from mental illness (as he has already begun to establish)?

There are more I've seen in the show but I'm hoping that others will share their ideas here. Very Happy Very Happy

Hey that's really cool. I never really analysed it like that but now that I think about it, take Claire for example.

She learns that she's got this amazing ability to pretty much never die (Maybe if she's decapitated) and yet she continues to attempt suicide. That kinda struck me as just plain odd. If your able to heal almost instantlly, you can't get a wound long enough to kill you. But that's not what I noticed. She says she attempted six times (Seven if you count this next one) to kill herself, but when she goes into the fire she saves the man. After, she learns that the man is okay and happy to be alive and she seems happy about it, seeming to forget all about her own suicide attempts.

I dunno if that's a dichotomy, you can judge for yourself, if it isn't it just struck me as kinda cool.
