Maybe by my sig. you might have been able to tell that i am an independent film maker
I recently got my self probably the best indy camera there is. the HVX.
this was befor the Snow fall, so me and come friend made a sweet 30sec commercial.
..... ok so we had to make it for class. but still its sweet.
here it is on Youtube.. its horribly compressed

WOW so you're a filmaker eh?? I'm takin film class 11 in school, and hope someday to become involved in filmaking, whether it be on the marketing, production, or acting aspect...
Could you perhaps tell me what it's like making an actual film?? |

| Oh, and out of curiosity, what editing program did you use, and where are you going to school for film? |

I dont know what song it was in the back ground. the guy to mixed the sound, just kept adding soundFX untill it was that.
Right not iam at AI for schooling.
Its ok, its only realy good for the free gear. well it was better in the begining.
That one was Cut on Final Cut Pro at the school. |

its Exciting make films.
if its a good script. i cant realy explain how it feels to be on a set, but awsome when you have 10 - 20 people working for the same goal.
I personly love editing. its even more of a rush cuase your the one who is cutting all those shots to gethere, and the image is yours to control (some what) and it all rest in yout hand. Plus your the first to see the Dallies (the full screen play backs on the Computer) |

Haha, terran, I noticed you were able to change your status lol
AI eh? Why was it only better in the beginning? and what made you choose that school over, say, PAVI or VFS?
At our film class in school, we use iMovie to edit our films, and I like to edit as well, just cuz I like to make everything precise and just have it flow nicely together..
That sounds really cool though, doing all that!! I'm not sure yet if I want to go to school specifically for film though |

... i did not change my title
i did not look at PAVI. but i chose AI over VFS cause of the film media.
VFS does FILM and only Film. so you get to film less stuff, and you need to buy film stock and other thing.
Iam not sure if this has changed now.
I went AI cause its all digital. lower quality, but we get to make 2 - 3 shorts per quarter. and normaly there are 5 - 6 diffrent groups filming. Last quarter i worked on 4 Music video's and 2 Commercials.
Way it was better. well i was learning more. now the classes are all free time, film stuff type classes. also there where not as many students.
the school just added 50+ students on top of my class of about 40 and the other group which join durning other quarter. Gear is being fought over.
There are only about 5 light kits and 8 LA kits (Location Audio) but easly 25 camera's
Also in the begning. they did not have HVX (HD Cameras Tapeless) now they do and iam entering my final quarter, and i have only used those camera 3 times, and they got them in the begning of summer. |

I changed his title. I hadn't seen Terran in a long time and he came to visit me at my Animation Club party on Wednesday so while he was sitting next to me, I secretly changed his title.
Terran will be coming to visit me again here. So, melas, we can make sure you two get a chance to talk about film school. (if I ever figure out who you are ) |
